Let it Rain

I sit in awe of Mother Nature and her magic;

As she washes our earth clean of our sins.

As the steady rain pours down;

Despite our stubborn resolve that there is no global warming.

Ozone assaults my senses;

Another sure sign that our Mother is presenting her cull.

Our ignorance and obsession with religion and sexuality;

No match for her divine plan.

As thunder booms and lightening strikes;

Her powerful reminder of our frail humanity.

Shadow is very happy I let him back in our house at 5 a.m. this morning as he watches the puddles grow bigger and bigger.
